I have a confession to make. I used to not know what I was passionate about, what I enjoyed doing, and especially had no idea what I wanted to do for a career in life. I was amazed that other people seemed to know their purpose in life and I felt like there was something wrong with me for not knowing. But the truth is, you can discover them by following simple steps, then you will be free to enjoy your life and find happiness.

I hope that after reading this article you will feel inspired and motivated to discover your passion and gain understanding on what you will do in life. I also hope that you will feel inspired to help others, because after all, the purpose of life is not just about yourself but helping others, too.

It has been said that we should live our lives following our passions and doing things we enjoy. But how do you find out what your passion is? The following eight questions will help give you a starting point to begin your journey of self-reflection. It is not something you can do once and bedone, it’s a process that will take time, so being patient with yourself is very important.

1) If money was not an issue what would I spend my days doing?

This is a good way to begin discovering yourself because your answer can give you insight into what your unique skills are. This question is also very important because whatever the ideal job for you might be, it’s probably not something that pays well, given how competitive it is.

2) Which activities make you lose track of time?

It is said that when youfind something you are passionate about, time disappears. This is because you enjoy the task so much you don’t want it to end. But this concept of enjoying something so much can be challenging to discover since we all have different interests and abilities. Take some time to think about what your hobbies are in your spare time and how you feel about them.

3) Which people do you admire?

You can learn a lot about yourself by discovering which people inspire you, whether they are celebrities, friends, family members or even fictional characters. For example if your favorite movie is Forrest Gump , this might give some insight into why it inspires you and point out some of your own great qualities as a person.

4) What is the one thing you spent the most time doing as a child?

In childhood we have little responsibility and have more free time, which might give us a clue to what we enjoy doing the most. Is there something you enjoyed doing so much you would spend hours at a time doing it? For instance, did you enjoy cooking with your mother perhaps more than playing outside?

5) What are my values?

Values are what you think is important in life. They represent who you are and the kind of person that you believe in. So, which values do you feel would help make a better world around you? Values such as honesty, integrity, and respect for others are just a few that can help you generate some ideas.

6) What gives you energy?

We all have different areas in which we excel, but if given the option to do something, what would it be? For example, for some people working with animals or children can bring them so much happiness they don’t even need payment. So taking an hour out here and there to volunteer might give you a better understanding of what you enjoy doing.

7) What do you want to contribute?

When we think of our legacy, many people believe they will be remembered for how much money they made or the kind of car they drove. But a more meaningful way to live your life is by making an impact on other people’s lives by contributing something of value. For example, if you find your passion is in coaching , think about how you can help others achieve their goals.

8) What do I keep coming back to?

When we are young, our parents and teachers tell us what we should be when we grow up, but as time goes by and we get older we begin to lose touch with ourselves and forget who we really are. Think about who you were as a child and what made you happy back then, because maybe those things are relevant to your passion now.

Finding out what our talents and passion is important because it helps us understand ourselves more, which in turn allows us to have a greater sense of self-esteem and confidence. It’s also important to enjoy what you do in life, because then you will be more motivated and productive.

We become happier when we enjoy ourselves, which gives us the motivation to want to succeed whether it’s at work or play. If you are able to discover your passion early on in life, this can give you a head start towards achieving greater goals since you now know what you are good at.

However, knowing your passion can be difficult to discover since many of us have lost touch with our inner selves during adolescence. The best way to start is by exploring various activities that you think might give you a clue as to what makes you happy. And if money isn’t the primary motivation for the activity, then it might be something you are passionate about. And remember, passion doesn’t have to come at the expense of making a lot of money, your passioncan also lead to an income that will give you great financial stability as well.

So take the time now to think about what makes you happy and follow your heart!
